Project BackgroundA factory in Brazil stores rolls vertically, stacked one above another. Its handling task involves retrieving an upper roll and transferring it to another location, requiring an attachment suited to the roll profile, sufficient lifting height and maneuverability within the workshop.
The KAYOND SolutionAn electric stacker fitted with a curved roll clamp grips the roll around its outer circumference. Using the tiller controls, the operator positions the truck, adjusts the clamp height and lifts the upper roll clear of the roll beneath it. The load is then lowered to a transport position before being moved away from the storage area.
On-Site OperationThe video shows the truck approaching the stacked rolls, positioning the clamp, retrieving the upper roll and transporting it through the workshop. The roll remains upright throughout the handling process, allowing an individual roll to be moved without transferring the entire pallet load.
Solution ValueThe solution combines roll gripping, lifting and internal transport in one machine. It supports individual roll retrieval from stacked storage for warehouse transfers and production preparation.
